Terms & Conditions

These conditions apply to registrations for the 14th IFAC Conference on Fractional Differentiation and Its Applications (ICFDA 2027), taking place from 23–26 August 2027 in Delft, the Netherlands.

By completing a registration, the participant confirms that the information submitted is correct and agrees to the conditions stated on this page.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the ICFDA 2027 Conference Secretariat. The date on which the written cancellation request is received will determine the applicable refund.

Cancellations received on or before 1 August 2027
The registration fee will be reimbursed, minus an administrative fee of €50.

Cancellations received after 1 August 2027
No refund will be issued.

Refunds, where applicable, will be made using the original payment method. Bank charges, currency conversion costs and other transaction costs are the responsibility of the participant and will not be reimbursed.

Failure to attend the conference, late arrival, early departure or cancellation of individual programme components does not entitle the participant to a full or partial refund.

Name Changes and Registration Transfers

A registration may be transferred to another participant from the same organisation, subject to approval by the Conference Secretariat.

Requests for name changes must be submitted in writing and must include the full details of both the original participant and the replacement participant.

The replacement participant must meet the eligibility requirements of the original registration category. Any additional costs resulting from a change in registration category will be charged to the participant.

Programme Changes

The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the conference programme, schedule, speakers, sessions, rooms, social events or other programme elements where this is reasonably necessary.

Such changes do not automatically entitle participants to a refund, provided that the overall nature and purpose of the conference remain substantially unchanged.

Cancellation or Postponement by the Organisers

If the conference is cancelled by the organisers, participants will be informed as soon as reasonably possible. Registration fees paid for the cancelled conference will be refunded.

If the conference is postponed, registrations may be transferred to the new dates. Further information on transfer or refund options will be communicated directly to registered participants.

The organisers are not responsible for travel, accommodation, visa, insurance or other personal costs incurred by participants.

Force Majeure

The organisers cannot be held liable for cancellation, postponement, interruption or changes caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, extreme weather, fire, flood, epidemic or pandemic, government restrictions, strikes, transport disruption, terrorism, war, civil unrest, venue closure or failure of essential services.

Travel and Accommodation

Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel, accommodation, insurance and visa application.

Participants are advised to book flexible or refundable travel and accommodation. The organisers accept no responsibility for cancellation fees or other costs relating to personal travel arrangements.

Visa Applications

Participants are responsible for determining whether they require a visa and for submitting a complete visa application within the required timeframe.

The issuing of an invitation letter does not guarantee that a visa will be granted. Visa decisions are made exclusively by the relevant embassy, consulate or immigration authority.

A rejected visa application does not automatically entitle the participant to a refund. The standard cancellation deadlines and administrative fee stated above will apply.

Participant Conduct

Participants are expected to behave professionally and respectfully towards other participants, speakers, organisers, venue staff and suppliers.

The organisers reserve the right to refuse admission or remove a participant whose conduct is considered disruptive, unsafe, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.

Photography and Recording

Photographs, video recordings or audio recordings may be made during the conference for communication, reporting, archival or promotional purposes.

Participants who do not wish to be photographed or recorded should inform the Conference Secretariat and follow any identification procedure communicated by the organisers.

Liability

Participation in the conference is at the participant's own risk. Participants are responsible for their personal belongings, health, safety and insurance coverage.

To the extent permitted by law, the organisers and Conference Secretariat are not liable for loss, theft, damage, injury, delay or additional expenses incurred in connection with participation in the conference.

Acceptance of Conditions

By completing and paying for a registration, the participant confirms acceptance of these cancellation and general conditions.
